Article Pic Gowtham - a thirteen-year-old male in 6th grade who is interested in becoming a teacher. He excels in science and hopes to continue his education, knowing this is the key to life - success. He states that his experience as a child of the Asirvadh Children's Home molds his character and is a healthy place for him.

Article Pic Basker - is a seventh grader, age 13, who is interested in becoming an inspector, or perhaps a recruiter or a teacher. He claims to be good in English, and would like to "give back" to the Children's Home where he has developed and grown through education and example of the leaders there.

Article Pic Anand - a 16-year-old 12th grader who has been at the Children's Home from childhood. He is grateful to the Home and it's leaders who have helped him secure his education, and thankful to God for bringing him here. Anand wants to continue studying until he becomes a doctor. His best subjects are science, Botony and Biology, and he likes singing as a special talent.

Francis - is a 6th grader, age 12, who wants to be a policeman. He has no family but the leaders and friends at the Children's Home are his family. Francis' best subject is English, and he says he likes best the Bible story of Hannah and Samuel.

Mudhu Sudhan - Mudha is a 14-year-old 8th grader who hopes to continue his education to become a teacher / professor. He is talented in drawing and his best subject is English. He hopes to help the Children's Home in any way he can when he is grown.


Article Pic Prasanth - this 15-year-old 9th grader has enjoyed very much being a part of the Children's Home where he has lived and learned, including the stories of Jesus. He hopes to continue his schooling into college, possibly to enter a career in police work, and then to show his gratitude to the Home by helping them raise funds when he is older.

Karthick - is a 12-year-old male in 7th grade, who enjoys singing. He has found love and guidance at the Children's Home and wants to stay in school and to continue boarding here while he studies.


Article Pic R. Rajeswari - is a 9th grade girl, age 15, who is interested in nursing, or teaching. She currently enjoys dancing and sewing, and her best subject is science. She is so happy about what the Children's Home has helped her accomplish, and this includes learning necessary discipline and love through the stories of Jesus. Someday, maybe she will come back here as a teacher for the children.

Article Pic Subashini - is a 15-year-old, 10th grader, who is interested in being a singer and dancer. She does well in English, but her passion is singing and dancing. Her favorite Bible story is about Abraham and Isaac. She treasures her many years at the Children's Home as the place where she has learned good discipline and much knowledge - - and therefore, hopes to give back through some fund-raising for the Home when she is grown and working.

Article Pic Nagappam - is 16, in 7th grade, and is interested in being a 'church-father' / pastor. Nagappam has found the Children's Home to be a beautiful place and is thankful for the education, the learning of discipline and how to take care of his health through the many years of living in the Children's Home.

Sweetha - This 14-year-old girl is in 8th grade and is interested in nursing. She is so very thankful to the leaders at Asirvadh Children's Home for helping her learn. She is good with English-study, and eager to continue her education.

Article Pic Rangithem - is a 10-year-old 6th grader who claims the Children's Home to be a "super place to call her home". She enjoys singing and is a good runner. Her favorite Bible story is about Abraham, and she hopes that she can teach those stories from the Bible someday; her interest is in becoming a teacher.

Article Pic Palamyamma - is a 10-year-old girl in 6th grade who is interested in helping others in some way, perhaps as a teacher someday, maybe here at the Children's Home where she has found a home. She claims talent in singing and dancing but is most happy when she can tell others about her finding and accepting Jesus' love here at the Home. She says "God and His Son Jesus live here at the Asirvadh Children's Home".

Article Pic Gruna - Gruna is 12 and in 6th grade and hopes to continue being a good student; her best subject is Science. She speaks highly of this Children's Home where she has learned about Jesus, and also appreciates this safe and healthy place which is helping her get her education. She would like to be a teacher someday.

Devi - Interested in becoming a teacher, this 9-year-old, third grader does well in Science. She hopes to be able to complete her education, then get a job, and then to give money to the Children's Home to help other children. For the present, she likes to dance and to sew.


Article Pic Meenaksh - is 13 and interested in continuing and completing her education so as to become a teacher someday. She likes to read, to dance, and to sew; her favorite Bible story is "Noah and the Flood". Meenaksh expresses her love for the Children's Home and those who have cared for her there, and this has given her a desire to help the other children there "someday when I am a teacher".

Article Pic Ameravathi - who is 12 and in 6th grade, says she is very happy to be a part of the Children's Home where she has learned to sing, to pray and also her good study habits. When she grows up, and has finished her education, she promises to be helpful to the Children's Home; this may be as a nurse as that is her interest as a career.

Sarah - Sarah is in 6th grade at age 12 and is interested in teaching. She enjoys sewing, singing and learning science, her favorite school-subject. She has all good things to say about her years at the Children's Home and would hope to come back as a teacher someday.

Anitha - age 8, grade 3, Anitha enjoys dancing, singing and sewing for now; she is interested in becoming a teacher so that she can come back to the Children's Home to teach someday. Her two favorite subjects are: Science and stories of Jesus.


Article Pic Ranjatham - is 14 and in 7th grade and hopes to continue her education so that she will become a teacher. She gives thanks for her place at the Children's Home as she has learned much here and hopes to complete a college education, then help the children at the Asirvadh Children's Home to learn and to succeed in life. Her favorite Bible story is that about Solomon the Wise.

Kavitha - at age 5 and in first grade, Kavitha is doing well in Tamil, the local language/dialect, and also is a good runner. She says she likes being at the Children's Home very much where she is learning how to study.


Article Pic Durga Devi - in 6th grade, age 10, she enjoys swimming and drawing, and her best subject is Tamil. She claims her favorite Bible story is that of Samual. The Children's Home has given her a good start on her education, providing her a discipline she appreciates as she moves toward her goal to be either a teacher or a nurse.

Article Pic C. Clara Mangammal - Interested in becoming a doctor, Clara is now 14 and in 9th grade. Her hobby is reading, and she also knows how to do tailoring; a special talent is singing, and her best subject is English. The Children's Home has helped to shape her character, and here she has appreciated the help with education and the provision of room and board; she calls the Children's Home a healthy place where she has learned of God's love.

Article Pic Kanniyammal - is 13 and in 7th grade and finds her best subject to be Science; she hopes to become a teacher and to come back to teach at Asirvadh Children's Home someday. For now, her hobbies are singing and sewing, and learning how she is loved by Jesus through reading the stories about Him in the Bible. She is grateful to the Home where she has found help with her education and a loving environment.

Rohini - is a 13-year-old 7th grader who appreciates the Children's Home for all it has done for her in learning discipline to study and for the loving help from the leaders there. She enjoys singing and has learned tailoring skills, and is interested in being a teacher.


Article Pic Angali - is 14 and in 8th grade, interested in teaching someday. She is proud to be a student resident of the Children's Home, enjoying especially social studies, reading and dancing. She says the Asirvadh Children's Home is a good place which is helping her complete her education. Her favorite Bible story is about Saul who became Paul.


Article Pic Abirami - interested in nursing someday, Abirami is 14 and in 8th grade currently, and likes her place at the Children's Home so much that she hopes to continue learning there. She has learned some tailoring skills, and enjoys reading. Her favorite Bible story is about Abraham.


Article Pic Kalyanni - is in 7th grade, age 13, and likes to read. She claims that the Children's Home is a very good place to learn and to live and to "know about God". Her favorite Bible story is that about Hannah and Samual. She hopes to finish high school and college and to become a teacher.


Article Pic Durga M. - is age 15 and in 10th grade, interested in becoming a teacher. She claims the Children's Home as her home for many years where she is receiving a complete educa- tion. She enjoys running, sewing, walking and singing, and helping the younger children at the Home study. She hopes to be helpful to these children after she finishes a B.A. in college.

Siva Kumar - is 16 and in 11th grade. He is interested in completing his education, and then finding a way to "give back" to the Home in the best way he can. For now, he enjoys playing cricket, football and tennis, and loves flower collecting and reading.

Sathish - is 17 and in 12th grade. He is interested in a career in Law, but for now enjoys stamp-collecting and football; he can repair electrical and electronic devices such as computers. He thanks God for "giving him the Children's Home" where he has received his education, and where he has been given a good home. Here he has learned to read and to pray.

Vimala - is 16 and in 11th grade, and very grateful to the Children's Home for helping her to get her education and to learn obedience and discipline. She is learning to do tailoring and is talented in dancing and excels in science. Perhaps she would want to become a teacher.

Vanitha - is in 11th grade, age 16, and is interested in teaching; but, for now, she is eager to complete her education at the Children's Home where she is very happy and grateful to have become "acquainted with Jesus". She enjoys singing and sewing, excels in mathematics. Someday, she would like to help the children here at the Asirvadh Children's Home - perhaps coming back as a teacher.
