Silent Word Resources is now "Living Word for the Deaf"
Lutheran Church Charities is supporting the reorganization of Silent Word. This important ministry is establishing a new Board and a new web site. After mailing four thousand surveys to Silent Word's old data base, it has been determined that it would be well to start a new site, LivingWordfortheDeaf.org, as a resource for the deaf community. A recent conference in Crystal Lake for the deaf was supported in part by Lutheran Church Charities and Living Word for the Deaf.Silent Word Ministry
There are 28 million Americans who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. Our mission is to share the Gospel with the deaf and hard of hearing by providing resources and educational signing products. As Jesus commissioned us to care for one another and to preach His word, so we at Silent Word commit ourselves to help the hard-of-hearing have more fulfilling worship experiences.
