Children's Home (Orphanage) Vision

A large number of underprivileged women and children in India are in desperate need of hope for life. A lady named Jeyanthi Asheervath recognized this great need and had a vision for the betterment of humanity and this much needed hope to those marginalized in Indian society. To recognize this vision, Jeyanthi established the foundations for a functional familial system in a Christ-centered atmosphere and founded Asirvadh Ashram. In India the ashram concept is a communal society that fosters the strengths of individuals and harnesses their energies to sustain a shared vision.

Jeyanthi envisioned Asirvadh Ashram to be a village within the larger local community. The Ashram is a home where underprivileged children can enjoy overall growth and development in a family based environment. Local village women that are less fortunate are embraced in the Ashram as well and thrive as surrogate caregivers for these children. All experience the love and companionship as a functional family and contribute back to society as productive citizens of humanity.

Asirvadh Ashram provides cottages to house a group of children along with a surrogate "mother". The Ashram also provides essential needs such as food, clothing, healthcare, and education. What make this a family unit are
the love, companionship and care shared by the "mother" and children.
